Dr. NDOLI MINEGA Jules

Head of Clinical Education and Research

Dr Ndoli Minega Jules is the Head of Clinical Education and Research Division at the University Teaching Hospital of Butare (CHUB). He’s a senior consultant anaesthesiologist, member of the Rwanda Society of Anaesthesiologists (RSA), founding member of the College of Anaesthesiologists of the Eastern, Central and Southern Africa (CANECSA) with over 15 years of experience in clinical education as a clinician, and senior clinical manager.

He holds a bachelor degree in General Medicine, and a Master of Medicine in Anaesthesia and Critical Care from the National University of Rwanda. He has a particular interest in clinical research, coordinated several research projects including clinical trials with numerous publications in international peer-reviewed journals. Dr Jules Ndoli Minega is the Chairperson of the Hospital Infection Prevention Committee since 2009.

Prior to his current position, he successively held the positions of Clinical Director and Head of Clinical Services Division.

Dr. KAYITESI Francoise

Director of Clinical Education

Dr KAYITESI Marie Franҫoise is the Director of Clinical Education at the University Teaching Hospital of Butare (CHUB). She holds a bachelor degree in General Medicine, and a Master of Medicine in Ear Nose and Throat, Head and Neck Surgery University of Rwanda.
 

She is a Consultant in Ear Nose and Throat, Head and Neck Surgery, with 6 years of experience as ENT Surgeon. She is also a Lecturer at the University of Rwanda, School of Medicine and Pharmacy, College of Medicine and Health Sciences.
 

Dr. Marie Franҫoise KAYITESI has won multiple awards, and participated in multiple national and international conferences, courses, workshops. She is a member of the Ethics committee at the University Teaching Hospital of Butare (CHUB).

Dr. MUKAMANA Felicite

Director of Clinical Research

Dr Mukamana Félicité is the Director of Research at the University Teaching Hospital of Butare CHUB since august 2020. She is a junior consultant Ophthalmologist, member of Rwanda Ophthalmologist Society. She   holds a bachelor’s degree in General medicine from National University of Rwanda and Master’s degree in Ophthalmology from Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences/Dar es salaam-Tanzania.

Dr Mukamana Félicité is the head of ophthalmology unit at CHUB, working successively with two major partners in eyecare: CBM and OneSight. She is most interested in behaviour change through research.

She participated in different research activities, currently she is co-investigator of CASPAR clinical trial, specifically in charge of data quality control at University Teaching hospital of Butare (CHUB). Dr Mukamana Félicité is the hospital guideline coordinator since 2021. Before the current position, she was an ophthalmologist at CHUB since February 2019, with fulltime clinical duties.
